"Tarzan" Tidbits
Its finally happening kids!! Travis has taken the plunge into acting! Apparently he's picked up the lead in the pilot film that will revolve around a present day Tarzan! As we get infomation on the film, we'll post it here.
05.20.03-Even more images are showing up online!! First up from Ben, we have a much, much larger version of a Travis/Tarzan promo that just popped up very recently. Next, from Andrea we have a brand new promo featuring Travis and his lovely co-star Sarah Wayne Callies.
Now, also from the ANON, I found a few links to some great pictures of Travis at the recent "2003 WB UpFront After Party". I don't have a membership to WireImage, so I can't get larger versions of these pictures for this site. Sorry. But go there and have a look anyway. The guy is looking positively faboo, per usual! ;) There's also some shots of Travis floating around over at ebay.com. Again,those are copyrighted pictues, so I can't bring them over here for you to look at. Just haul ass over to ebay.com, do a word search with Travis' full name and you'll see what I'm talking about...if someone hasn't already snapped them up! Again, thanks to all the contributors!

Hint Fasion Magazine Now here's a TV personality we'd like to get behind. Calvin Klein underwear model Travis Fimmel has been cast in the loincloth wearing title role in the WB's Tarzan pilot. Sadly, as much as we would have liked to have seen Calvin himself as Jane, the role has gone to newcomer Sarah Wayne Callies.
Dark Horizons Tarzan (TV): Johnny Weissmuller, Christopher Lambert, Casper Van Dien, and now The Hollywood Reporter indicates that 22-year-old Australian Calvin Klein model Travis Fimmel has won the title role in this contemporary TV series update of Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic tale. Fimmel came to notoriety last year in his first campaign for CK - the black & white one-sheet for Calvin Klein underwear caused minor traffic accidents when it was released as the giant bulge distracted many drivers who pondered whether all Aussie men are hung like that (for the record - yes). "Spider-Man" producer Laura Ziskin will be handling the show for The WB network, whilst the story itself has the ape-raised Tarzan brought to NYC by his uncle who is the CEO of the powerful Greystoke Enterprises corporation and its there he meets fiery police detective 'Jane'. No doubt the loincloth will have to be a little on the long side to help hide things so that newcomer Sarah Wayne Callies as 'Jane' won't reach for the wrong dangling vine. Enquirer.com Female-friendly `Tarzan'- He says Young Tarzan, being developed as a fall series pilot, will be approached as another Beauty and the Beast, the 1987-90 series about a New York prosecutor (Linda Hamilton) in love with a man-beast living in caverns under Manhattan.
