Here is the reason why I love Smallville so much.
I suppose what I love most about the show is the memories it brings
back
for me from when I was a child. My father, who passed away 10 years
ago (I
was only 11), and I used to watch the TV show versions of The
Incredible
Hulk and Knight Rider together. He was always a fan of comic books,
superheroes, and science fiction, as am I. And I know that if he were
alive
today, we would be sitting down together every Tuesday night to watch
it.
It
is such an endearing comfort to me to know that I am watching something
that
has been re-invented from his generation -- to know, that in some small
way,
he is still and always will be a part of my life. I sometimes almost
feel
like I am watching the show for him, but I know that I am really
watching
the show because of him. Thanks Smallville, thanks for the comfort
every
Tuesday night, and thanks for re-inventing the memories.
