September 21, 2002: Day 49, END OF GAME

This is the end of the game.  Only one has walked out of the manor alive and that player is... Danny.  Congratulations to Danny for being our first champion.  For those of you who were completely stumped, I have highlighted the clues that point a finger directly at Brian as the Defector for all of you to see.  I have made a note of where you can find them in the final events page.  Thanks all of you for playing, and now for Defector 2.0.  Those of you who volunteered will be contacted soon.  (Danny E-mail me please on how you would like to receive your prize) 

September 18, 2002: Day 46

The final exam has been posted and the answers will be due by 5PM on Day 48.  I will point out my little mind games on that day that I left for all of you to boil in at that point as well.  TO ALL THAT PLAYED: I thank you all, It has been a pleasure to serve you all in this excellent game.  Spread the word, I AM WORKING ON THE NEXT ONE (BIGGER PRIZES HOPEFULLY).  For now pick your favorites, help who you want, the final showdown between player and Defector has begun.  Only one will win, the other shall perish inside this manor's walls...

September 17, 2002: Day 45

The Defector has just claimed what could be his final victim.  Andrew was killed the night before leaving only two players remaining.  The defector's identity is revealed in the events section.  And now the final phase begins... THE FINAL EXAM BEGINS TOMORROW TO DETERMINE WHO THE FINAL WINNER WILL BE!!!!  Review EVERYTHING because no one has an upper hand in this final challenge.

September 11, 2002: Day 39

Another player has fallen today, but her body is missing.  Check the Events.  The final challenge has been issued by the defector.  The defector has left a very important clue attached to the body, and if found it will yield an advantage to the possessor.  Good luck to you all, I will be gone until Sunday so, get to work.  The winner will ensure their location with in the face off against the defector.  Also, the final exam between the players is up.

September 9, 2002: Day 37

The exam has rolled round once again.  The winner of the challenge has been posted.  If you are able to survive this exam, you ensure a position in the final round before the face off with the defector.  Exams are due day 39 at 5PM.  Good Luck!

September 7, 2002: Day 35, PHASE EIGHT BEGINS

Pardon my lateness, I was out of town for the past couple of days.  Someone else has just been tossed to the wayside and there are only 4 of you left.  Two more phases and the Defector's true identity will be revealed.  Then you will have to face them in a battle encompassing everything you have learned.  For now, test your mental capabilities on this final challenge!

September 4, 2002: Day 31

September 2, 2002: Day 29

Rewind the clocks everyone.  I have realized everyone is on vacation over this labor day weekend so the challenges will be due on Wednesday.  I have been relatively busy this weekend so it gives me an excuse.  So, see you all back in the game soon.

September 1, 2002: Day 28

Your challenges are due today at 5PM.  The clue has been recovered from the body as well.  Sorry for my mistakes, I have been busy with a lot of other stuff at the same time.  The IRC applet will be fixed in about a day or so.  The forum however will be fixed after this round ends.  Good luck on the challenge for those of you that haven't finished.

August 31, 2002: Day 27

I have extended the due date of the challenge to day 28.  I have made a mistake and I have fixed it.  SO you get one more day to finish the challenge.  Also the clue will be posted tomorrow.

August 30, 2002: Day 26, PHASE EIGHT BEGINS

With a group of eleven, we are now down to 5.  This game has moved pretty quickly, and your next challenge is up.  Also, I am working on the forum problem (possibly new forum for later) as well as the IRC (just need to finish it up).  Less and less of you are here, hopefully this final crowd can hold out until the end.

August 29, 2002: Day 25

Today your finals are due at 5PM.  The problem with registering the IRC applet is being worked on (though I don't want to pay $45).  I will find a way around this for you guys.  The next challenge is being worked on, it will test many aspects of, well trivia and this game.  So be prepared.

August 28, 2002: Day 24

Another Phase, another Exam for everyone to take.  This one isn't too bad.  The challenge winner has been posted.  It came down to a simple coin toss to determine the winner this week.  You guys did extremely well on the challenge and should be proud of yourselves.  Also, in other site news, the Defector channel has been opened so that you can live chat with one another while you are here.  So round out your fellow players, You all have a new meeting place.

August 27, 2002: Day 23

Your challenge is due today at 5PM.  I hope you find it a good measure of your intelligence.  Remember, a lot is at stake, only six people are left.  In other site news, I have heard that this game has been getting all sorts of publicity and that kind of stuff.  I have realized that this game is slowly surpassing the Lunatix-Online Realm.  So my question that I pose to all of you is this: Should we go public?  This game still has a lot of refining to do (as I have learned).  So check out the forum, and leave your input.  If you want, you can review this game on one of those review sites too (nudge nudge).  BTW, I am trying to look into t-shirts for my staff for Defector 2.  I have got a lot of things to do, so keep working on that challenge...YOUR EXAM DRAWS NEAR ONCE AGAIN!

Another phase, another dead.  This time it was in the recreation center.  Your next challenge has been posted.  It will probably be one of the most difficult challenges to date.  The reward is one that has never been given before.  Go to the challenge and read more about it.

August 25, 2002: Day 21

Exams are due today at 5PM.  Your next challenge is being worked on at this moment.  Prepare yourselves mentally, this will be your most difficult challenge up to this point.  Your reward is great, and who ever wins this will be well rewarded.

August 24, 2002: Day 20

Its everyone's favorite time again... EXAM TIME!  No special circumstances this time, lowest scorer will end up as the Defector's 6th victim.  I will give you a little clue at the prize up for grabs at the next challenge, it is almost illegal for me to do.  But the winner will get it.  You'll find out what it is, if you survive.  I am still thinking about have "Defector 2", but that is still on the drawing board.  Staff will be needed next time, that is a given.  One guy can't handle this much stuff, as I have learned the hard way.  Anywho, Good luck to all of you, because for one of you, there is only 2 days left to live...

August 21, 2002: Day 17

Exams are due today at 5PM.  I am at my wits end so pardon me while I burst into flames.  I will be taking a step back and be more of a shadowy figure from now on.  I will NO LONGER answer questions about player identities, player names, or anything regarding players.  I have nothing to hide however these are things you need to find out on your own as players.  I have overstepped my bounds and a constant barrage of e-mails and complaints have overwhelmed me.  I am in the process of finishing off the script for the next couple of phases, so pardon my absences.  If you need help, just e-mail me, but if it is about anything I said I won't answer, well you won't get an answer.  I hope you all understand... 

ONE MORE THING: I have heard all of the rumors, and let me tell you all one thing there is no way I am the defector since I have nothing to gain and it would not be a fair game.  I cannot write an exam that I already know all the answers to and attempt to take it.  All the players in the game are REAL, repeat REAL.  I am not a player, if you do not believe me you can feel free to harass me all you want.  But I will repeat it again, I AM NOT A PLAYER and further more AM NOT THE DEFECTOR.

August 20, 2002: Day 16

It's that time again, exam time.  The defector's plan has been activated, But really I am not surprised.  The Defector has been planning this one for awhile.  If you haven't read, the only people that are truly safe from death is the winner of this phase's challenge, BRIAN, and the top three scorers on the exam.  Good Luck all of you, because 4th place could mean death...  BTW, make sure you check the EVENTS section to find out what is going on.

Clue Explanation: Take the first letter of every word and it would spell out: Brians the Defector.  This was the most subtle clue left behind.

August 19, 2002: Day 15

Today, your challenges are you due.  I hope it has posed a good challenge to all of you in trying to determine it.  If you need a clue, it will be in the weekly events with the clue found from Pamela's body.

August 18, 2002: Day 14, PHASE FOUR BEGINS

Another phase has passed and another player has passed on... We must move on, the defector is still out there and the day draws near where the defector's horrible new plan will be unleashed.  For the time being, your next challenge has been posted.

August 17, 2002: Day 13

Your exams are due today at 5PM.  The defector has warned a few people about a twist that will be thrown into the game and you all will be notified about it in the upcoming days.

August 16, 2002: Day 12

Hilary has won the third challenge and does not have to take the exam this phase, making her safe until the next phase.  Your exams have just been posted, good luck.  They will be due by 5PM of day 13.

August 15, 2002: Day 11

The police has returned the items that were found on the body of the victim today.  Also your third challenge is due today as well at noon.  I hope you all have been paying attention...

August 14, 2002: Day 10, PHASE THREE BEGINS

Hello survivors, if you haven't noticed, another one of the players has just been killed off and their body was just recovered in the pool.  The policed has seized the body, and any items or clues that have been found will be turned in to us tomorrow.  For now, your third challenge has been posted.  Also, many sections were corrupted yesterday and those sections are still unaccessable.  You still need to try your best to complete that challenge without the aide.  Good Luck to the rest of you.

I have extended the PHASE by a day since there are major, and I EMPHASIZE MAJOR, problems with defectormail.  I want you guys just to use your normal mail.  I have only gotten, Andrew's, Sara, and Kristina's exams.  PLEASE SEND EM TO ME ASAP. THANKS.  DUE 5PM TODAY.  I AM REALLY REALLY SORRY FOR THE MAIL SYSTEM, I'll TRY to FIND A NEW ONE ASAP.

August 12, 2002: Day 8

Exams are due today at 5 PM.  I hope you guys have been paying attention and learning about your fellow players.  As you have probably learned now, not all the questions on the exam are things that I have posted.  They are questions that reflect the person.  This adds one of the dynamic things that are in store for you.  Sleep well my players, cause one of you won't wake up tomorrow.

August 11, 2002: Day 7

Sorry for the Late-ness of my posting, this is the first time I got back to my computer this weekend.  The winner has been decided for the challenge, Hilary gets the "bye" and doesn't have to take the exam this phase, which means she lives to see another day.  However for the rest of you, its exam time again.  The exam has just been posted.  I wish you all luck.  This exam will be shorter than the other one but is slightly harder.  Again, it'll be due by 5 PM of Day 8.  Hopefully you won't end up motionless in the manor...

August 10, 2002: Day 6

The second challenge continues today and will be due at midnight tonight.  I hope you found it slightly challenging...  Tomorrow holds in store your second exam.  I hope you are learning about who you think is the defector.

August 09, 2002: Day 5, PHASE TWO BEGINS

And the Defector claims the first victim...but now it is time to move on to the next phase.  A few exams were missing so other factors were taken into account.  The Defector is ever nearing.  Check the Events section as well as the Defector Daily for more information on what happened in the past day.  Also, your second challenge is a difficult one and it begins today.  GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

August 08, 2002: Day 4

August 07, 2002: Day 3

Welcome to your first exam, the winner of the challenge will be given a free trip to the next round, so if you took the exam already, and you won the challenge.  Your grade wouldn't matter.  However for the rest of you, good luck, your existence depends on it.  ALL PLAYER PROFILES ARE ON LOCK RIGHT NOW, THEY WILL BE REACTIVATED AFTER THE EXAM.  In site news, there are two options on the main splash page for people to use, one with a dynamic menu and one with a regular menu.  This was made for the people who had problems with it.  Hope it works now.  GOOD LUCK ALL OF YOU ON THE EXAM!

The first challenge has been posted and your immediate response is needed.  This first one isn't too bad, but they will get better...better for me that is, Mwa ha ha, ahem sorry.  Anyways, there is also a dinner that will occur throughout today in the forum.  It would be the utmost advantage for you all to attend.  One more day until the first exam hits, until tomorrow I bid you all good day.
