Who
does he think he is? He doesn't know who I am. Oh he may
think he knows me, but the comedy of this tragedy is just
how wrong he is. I pity him. Deep down, in some place that I
may still feel, I have pity for his soul. There are some
things that you can not even fathom about the present day,
about the future to come. He'll see...he will most certainly
see. *Mark
Patton stretched out across the long plush leather couch,
staring up at the blank ceiling, a restless look crept across
his previously blank face. The thoughts swarming about in his
head making him uneasy. So many things left to ponder. He
thought that he was onto the Mystery Man who claimed to have
such a hard time getting over him. He thought about who it
was, who it could be, who it likely was. Some of the things he
had said sent up red flags inside of Mark's head. But he
really didn't have much time to think things through as the
door quickly opened, and in walked Rhyno, Xander, and
Desires. Desires
walked around the length of the couch and lifted Mark's head,
sitting down and placing it in her lap. Rhyno grab the steel
folding chair propped up against the wall and opens it,
sitting in it reverse, with the back of the chair pressed
against his stomach. Xander walked around and sat down on the
leather chair, to the side of the long couch. Mark notices all
of their presences, with their attention primed right on their
leader, Mark. He sat up from the couch and leaned forward,
perching his elbows up on his knees, looking around at the
army he has amassed.* ::Mark::
Well gentlemen... here we are. Mass Destruction is almost upon
us, and there, we will find success. Our goals will be
realized, and soon. First, Rhyno... you have your shot at the
Hardcore Championship in the Hardcore Invitational. You're no
stranger to what is Hardcore. But some of those BOYS aren't
very learned in the ways of what truly is 'hardcore'. So I
want you to walk out there, and show them just what it means
to be HARD-CORE. *Mark
turns his attention over to Xander, smirking wickedly as he
scoots over the couch, right into the face of his apprentice.* Xander,
you know what you have to do. You know what stands right in
front of you, the arrogant, deceitful Lee Braddeck. This
Monday, you know you have to DESTROY Braddeck! And I know with
what you've learned over the past week, you'll succeed, or
face the harsh realities that lie on that road. But to simplify
things, and to save you a lot of trouble... don't loose! *Mark
turns his head slowly towards the camera, as it perches behind
Desires, the object of Mark's immediate attention.* And
for you... you get your first action in a while. You get to
face Reuben Phoenix, a snot nosed little runt, who thinks he
has what it takes to overcome the Dark Age. But boys will be
boys, and this one, you treat no differently than the ones
that came before him, with a swift, and justified punishment.
And for me, *Mark
leans in and speaks softly, but loudly enough for the camera
to pick it up*
MAKE IT HURT! *Mark
stands and speaks to the entire faction present, stern and
solemnly* Now...
we present the public. *The
camera fades as Mark and the rest of the Dark Alliance stand
and prepare to exit their locker room en route to the ring.
The camera then shifts to the ring announce position where
Sammy Williams and Thor sit eager to call the action of the
night.* --Sammy
Williams--
Well that was...interesting. And it appears as though they're
on their way out here to approach all of the fans in
attendance. --Thor--
Apparently Mark has some business to tend to. Which is pretty
obvious, after all that this 'Mystery Man' has had to say. And
it seems pretty blatant that he was avoiding his own
situations until he was good and ready to deal with them. --Sammy
Williams--
But it wont just be Mark Patton out here, the Dark Alliance
will be out here in force, aside from Dorian Drav, who is
still a bit distanced from the Alliance. That kid has got some
trust issues in him. But Mark claims he's a force to be
reckoned with, and I guess when you've got the goods, a little
absence is acceptable. --Thor--
And if there is one thing I could commend Mark Patton for, it
has got to be his allegiances to the Dark Alliance, and his
success as a leader. He has taken charge of these five
superstars, and turned them into something dangerous. But
while we have a chance, lets talk a bit about this week's
Adrenaline, and Sunday Night's Mass Destruction. --Sammy
Williams--
It is going to be an incredible week Thor. We have the five
qualifying matches for the annual Mass Destruction Brawl, and
then Sunday we will have the big main event itself. Only once
a year we have this match, and this year looks to be as big
and star-studded as ever. Dragon has automatic entrance by
rights of being the Champion, but his opponents could be in
any number of different assortments. --Thor--
The potential candidates read as a who's-who of the SwF,
ChAoS, Rufus Rage, Tigerheart, Rocko, Steve Williams, Bill
Baker, Angel, Big Nasty, and two potential Dark horses, Xander
Gibson and Lee Braddeck. And all of them are reaching to
become the next SwF World Heavyweight Champion, taking that
title away from Dragon, before moving on to Dark Revolution to
face what might be one of the most dangerous men in our sport
today, Mark Patton. --Sammy
Williams--
I have to agree with you there. We've seen a lot of amazing
things in the past from Markus, Mark, whatever. But now it's
taken a bizarre turn from amazing to just downright eerie. And
Dark Revolution Mark has the ability to duplicate last year's
success, in defeating the Champion, to become new Champion.
And if in fact that comes to pass, then I can't even bear to
imagine the hell the SwF will face. *The
arena falls to black, before a glowing blue hue rains down
from the rafters, as the GeoTron comes to life. The
GeoTron opens up with a dark room, before it becomes
engulfed in blue flame. Inside of the burning circle another
symbol is light aflame. It is of a pentagram. And surrounding
it five druids. And in the middle of the pentagram stands Mark
Patton. The camera angle of the shot spins around clockwise,
becoming closer at each turn, until it is dead on the six
figures in the center of the flaming circle. Before the music
begins to play, a soft whisper is heard throughout the
arena...
"In
darkness together we're bringing the light. In darkness
together we are forming. The fire tomorrow is born of the
night, in darkness together we ignite. From all we've been
shunned but we found a new home. To great discontent it is
greatness that we own. In luminous eyes, reflections of fear
absolute... All hate what we've become."
'The
New Shit' begins to play throughout the arena, as black flame
pyro erupts from under the stage, engulfing the entire stage
in its flame. As the flame dies down, five figures approach
the edge of the stage, to a unanimous, massive roar of boos.
Mark and Desires brush it off, all too used to this sound by
now, Xander learns quickly, using it and turning it back
around at them in an arrogant sort of way. Though Rhyno
becomes enraged at the reaction he's receiving from the fans.
He begins to beat at his chest hard, screaming and pointing
right back at the fans. The quartet starts down the entrance
ramp, and up to the ring.
First
into the ring is Rhyno, sliding in under the bottom rope,
before climbing a turnbuckle and continuing to soak in the
boo's only further enraging him. Next into the ring is Xander
Gibson, stepping up the steel ring steps, and into the ring
between the middle and top ropes, before walking over to the
center of the ring, and folding his arms over his chest,
statue-esque. Mark followed, reaching up and grabbing the
middle rope, and using it as leverage to lift himself up onto
the apron, before taking Desires' hand and helping her up as
well. Mark holds the middle rope down for Desires to enter
into the ring, before stepping into the ring himself.
Mark
wastes no time in walking over near Lilith Evan on the outside
of the ring, and demanding a microphone. With that, he walks
back over to the center of the ring and stretches an arm out,
presenting to the public the Dark Alliance.*
::Mark::
That's all right. You people boo, because you know no better.
Though there is a select few of you out there *points out to
the three people in the front row* who understand what I
present to the world. The sign these three followers hold
speaks volumes as to what we bring. The sign that says
'Behold, The Dark Age!' A very fitting title. One that will be
realized at Dark Revolution. An aptly named event, for a main
event of epic proportions. One where I will realize my
goal, in plunging the SwF into an era of darkness, while at
the same time ending a career. No, even better...A LIFE.
You
see, I look forward to the prospect of meeting Dragon once
more, but let's face it. I am not stupid enough to rule out
everyone but him. The list of potential entering the Mass
Destruction Brawl is impressive, even by my standards. And
another thing to face, the Champion at Mass Destruction, has
never actually successfully won the Mass Destruction Brawl.
There are too many variables, that puts the champion at a
GREAT disadvantage. Why do you think it was that I've stood
back, and waited to take my turn? The odds are roughly one-out
of-six, while I have a fifty percent chance --if not
greater--, at becoming the SwF World Heavyweight Champion at
Dark Revolution, one-on-one. A right I've earned, in winning
my second-consecutive Supreme Tournament.
But
right now, that is the future, one which will be revealed to
you non-believers in due time. Right now though, we have some
things to speak about in the present time. First off, it
appears as though I have some admirers. Of course, but why
wouldn't someone want to mimic me? Why wouldn't someone want
to TRY and beat the best in this industry. I mean you'd have
to be INSANE... *Mark
pauses and smirks*,
if you're intentions were of any other form. But I don't blame
this 'Mystery Man' for his actions. Though he's a little late
for getting his shot at me. For that, he'll have to wait,
because the way I see it, there are a few more pressing
matters to tend to. But for now, I'll say this to the
so-called 'Mystery Man'.
Boy,
you are a fool to believe you can intimidate fear HIMself. You
must not be too bright a bulb if you think that your words do
anything but make me laugh. You speak of my arrival to the
Supreme Wrestling Federation two years ago in Death Row. Now I
wonder how you got that footage? Especially when the FAILURE
that brought Death Row into the SwF and brought me in as well,
did just that...HE FAILED. It lasted all of a week. So I'm
interested in hearing how you remembered that, when it was
such a short lived venture. But it makes all of no difference
to me now. You want to tell me you're going to tear me limb
from limb? You think something like that is going to strike
fear into my heart? Oh my God. Boy, haven't you heard. You
cant scare the heartless. But I enjoy you're 'cute' remarks.
You are truly a delusional soul, if you really believe the
CRAP you're saying. You want to call yourself a 'monster'? You
don't look like one to me. I've seen worse, I've seen MUCH
worse. To me, you're nothing more than a rat in a cage, just
like everyone else. Nothing special about you. You want to try
and spew intimidating stories about what Indy fed's have said
about you? Mr. No-conscience, don't take my silence as
deliberate hiding from you. You'd like to think I'm afraid,
when in this place called REALITY I fear you no more than I
fear the average NEWBORN. And just as you have your own
'surprises' to reveal at Mass Destruction, your identity that
if you ask me, isn't quite so secret. You're nothing more than
a failure behind a mask that only wishes he could have amounted
to even a fraction of what I have. But you matter NOTHING
to me in the grand picture. *Mark
steps forward against the ring ropes, and speaks out,
peering straight into the crowd as his face fills with
contempt.* It
appears as though I've got a match coming up at Adrenaline.
I get to take on Syxx, a man whom I know all too well. We've
had quite the past. Quest for Gold, Supreme
Tournament...Nightmares. All of which were ground-breaking
nights in a rivalry that has spanned since I joined the Lost
Soulz sometime over a year ago. Syxx and Myself were always
quiet rivals. We always strived to one-up the other. And
quite frankly, I had his number on many occasions, though he
still holds a winning record against me. I believe I have
the hypocrisy of the SwF to thank for that one. But that is
the past. The present is now, and I have a bit of a score to
settle with the man who calls himself Syxx. But
it isnt just him I'll have the pleasure of dismantling. It
appears as though a curveball has been thrown, an ace in the
deck. It looks like I'll be able to finally step into the
ring with the great doctor himself, Josh Tripfolski. Yeah,
he came out earlier and had some things to say of his own. I
heard, no, even better, I LISTENED. Some mighty powerful
words you had to say there Josh. Am I really losing it? Or
maybe, I've found what it was that kept me lost to begin
with. Do you really think you know me well enough to be able
to declare such accusations? I don't think you do. And I
told you once before, if you remember back to that
conversation we had out here, when I told you of what they
were doing to you. I think you should or would remember then
when I told you, without qualms, that either you're with me,
or against me. And if you're against me, then may whatever
God you praise, have mercy on your damned soul. You chose
your path, as did I choose mine, and that has brought us to
where we are now. But
I find it rather interesting how you, along with the rest of
the huddled masses, choose to place the blame for my actions
on the head of Desires. Do you really believe that it's her
who made me this way? Or maybe it was inside of me the
entire time, and all she did was help me to forget about all
of the ingrates who just want to take advantage of me, and
helped me to bring out what you see before you. You see
Love, Tripfolski, whatever. The fact of the matter is that
you think I'm playing mind games? You haven't begun to see
what games I can play. But one game you'll realize I DON'T
play very nicely, is the when you step into this ring, and
come face-to-face with me. You saw what happens when you
come to me. You get your ass buried! It's a plain and simple
fact. And you wont have to wait too long for a refresher
course. I will have to say that I'm quite offended that you
put me in the same sentence as Andrew Gibson. He doesn't
know how to play the big game, with the big hunter. You have
no idea. And you won't until you're faced with the reality
that you just don't know who I am. That's really what all of
this is about, isn't it? Identity. I know mine, do you
REALLY know yours? You had one thing right. They chose. They
chose who they cheered for. And as soon as you lose, they'll
just as quickly choose someone else, they'll forsake you and
turn their back on you just as quickly as a defeat. You
watch, the truth shall set you free... *Mark
steps back from the ropes, and walks over to another set of
ropes, the ones leading out to the entrance ramp and stage,
straight back to the locker rooms. He stops, turns back and
whispers something into the ear of Desires, Rhyno, and
Xander, before walking back to the ropes, peering right up
the ramp to the entrance to the backstage. He raises the mic
to his lips as he speaks once more.* This
is a new time, a new rule, and a new fate. The Supreme
Wrestling Federation will simply have to live with, and
learn that, the easy way... --or the more popular-- HARD
WAY. The Dark Age is upon the SwF, and those who do not
submit, and succumb to our will, are doomed to feel the
sting of fear. Because whether you care to ever admit to
it... fear carries a face, it's face is hard, brutal,
merciless, and shows no remorse. Take a good hard look into
the face of fear... you'll be seeing it soon. Because sooner
or later you'll all understand, Through
my will... I BRING FEAR. *With
that said, Mark drops the microphone, and begins his way out
of the ring and up the ramp, as 'The New Shit' plays his
exit. The camera fades to commercial as Mark, Desires, Rhyno
and Xander begin to ascend up the ramp.* |
