How can I give if you won't take?
What's there to fix if you make no mistake?
You've given me more than I can return
You've taught me the things I never could learn
You hold me up when I'm falling down
You took my life and turned it around
I wish I could change your world in some way
Brighten it up when you have a bad day
You're the light of hope I see when I'm blind
You are solid ground when I'm losing my mind
I can hold on to you if I'm losing my grip
You pull me from the edge if I suddenly slip
I can talk to you if I feel like crying
You understand if I feel like dying
Since the beginning, you've always cared
And I know in the end, you'll still be there.
