Brewers Dictionary

Since my game reviews are getting more and more complicated because of my constant use of player nicknames, I thought I'd provide a list of Brewer nicknames and other possibly confusing terms.
**Note: New nicknames develop daily.**

--Ned Yost: Manager; no current nickname.

--Mike Maddux: Pitching Coach; Nicknames: "Stasch Maddux" and "Mike the Rapist"

--Butch Wynegar: Hitting Coach; Nicknames: Butch "Why Nigga?"

--Bill Castro: Bullpen Coach; no current nickname.

--Rich Dauer: Bench Coach; no current nickname.

--Dave Nelson: First Base Coach; Nicknames: Dave "Nilsson" Nelson.

--Rich Donnelly: Third Base Coach; Nicknames: "fainty" Donnelly and "Windmill" Donnelly.

--Keith Ginter: Infielder, #6; Nicknames: "Stumpy" Ginter, "Gumby," "Gintny," "Jimmy Gint," and "Gintner."

--Wes Helms: Third Base, #18; Nicknames: "Man-Boobs", "Thunder Nips", "E5", Wes "Smellms", "The Wall", the "H-Bomb", and (sign languaged explosion)
**(adj. "OverWesHelmsing"; meaning that something is overwhelmingly clutsy, slow, or fat)
(verb "Flintstone"; to run after a ball at a slow, immobile speed. Ex. "Helms Flintstoned after the ball, but his Flintstone ass cound not reach it)
(phrase "Make a Hit"; to make a blatant error ruled a hit by an official scorer)**

--Geoff Jenkins: Left Fielder, #5; Nicknames: "The Jenks", "Sideways Ankle", "Slumpy", Geoff "Jinkins", and "the Jinks".

--Scott Podsednik: Outfielder, #20; Nicknames: "The Pod" and "3-2 Scotty".

--Brooks Kieschnick: Pitcher/Outfielder, #55; Nicknames: "The Transformer", "Curls", the "toolshed", and "Hack" Kieschnick.

--Matt Kinney: Starting Pitcher, #50; Nicknames: "Specs", "Shithead," and "Doc" Kinney.

--Nick Neugebauer: Disabled List/Pitcher, #32; Nicknames: "Nick Neu..nuu...neug...ahhh...Nick not-gonna-pitch-here-anymore" and "Leg-Muscle-Arm" Neugebauer.

--Ben Sheets: Starting Pitcher, #15; Nicknames: Ben "Sheeit".

--Luis Vizcaino: Relief Pitcher, #51; Nicknames: "Dead Arm" Vizcaino, "The Human Chain Delay," "Vijiaro", and Vizcaino I.

--Jeff Bennett: Relief Pitcher, #57; Nicknames: "eyebrow-hat" Bennett, and "The Tennessee Stallion."

--Dave Burba: Relief Pitcher, #43; Nicknames: "old man" Burba.

--Chris Capuano: Starting Pitcher, #39; Nicknames: "Unearned Run" Capuano, and H.R. Capuano.

--Doug Davis: Starting Pitcher, #49; Nicknames: Lord Davis.

--Wes Obermueller: Starting Pitcher, #33; Nicknames: The UberMueller, "O'Mueller," The Irishman, and "der UnterMueller."

--Gary Bennett: Catcher, #29; Nicknames: "eagle-eyes" Bennett.

--Chad Moeller: Catcher, #21; Nicknames: Warp-face Moeller.

--Craig Counsell: Infielder, #30; Nicknames: "Spine" Counsell, "King Counsell," and "awkwardie."

--Trent Durrington: Infielder, #22; Nicknames: Ginter II, and "The Aussie Sensation."

--Bill Hall: Infielder, #2; Nicknames: "Not Clayton", Bill Hill, and William Hill III.

--Lyle Overbay: First-Baseman, #11; Nicknames: Lyle Overgay, Lyle Overpaid, Lyle Uberbay, Lyle Unterbay, Doublebay, and Doubleday.

--Junior Spivey: Second-Baseman, #37; Nicknames: "Junior in..." and "Ju'nor Spyee."

--Ben Grieve: Outfielder, #12; Nicknames: "The Unswinger," "the Walkman," "the six-pitch Walkman," "bobbles," and the "human-on-base-machine."
