STADT MOERS EVENT 25th MARCH 1999

After getting at least some clear weather for all of the 1998/99 Sidewalk events we were finally beaten by cloud and drizzle on Thu 25 March 1999 at Stadt Moers Country Park in Huyton.

We did not quite get into double figures in terms of attendance. The location is quite isolated and does not benefit from a constant stream of people passing by. At least the slide show, given by Geoff Regan went quite well.

I displayed my 6 inch f4 reflector indoors. Due to the lack of dark evenings during British Summer Time the next Sidewalk event will probably not be until September 1999.

It is very probable that we will be able to return to Leasowe Lighthouse. A venue within Liverpool is currently being selected. If anybody thinks they know of other suitable venues (i.e., somewhere that can be used to display slides/computers if the weather is poor) please contact myself or Geoff Regan Dave Owen dowenlas@yahoo.com
