I live and work in the town of Oranjemund which is in the south of Namibia.
Oranjemund is a closed Diamond Mining town in the Namib Desert.
I am employed here as Senior Design Draughtsman in the Engineering Drawing Office.

For hobbies I play Lawn Bowls, although, at the moment I do not have the time
as I've recently joined the local Rock Band BedRock.

A little bit about my history. I was born in Falkirk, Scotland on January 9th 1957. When I was six months old my parents moved to Hartlepool in the North East of England. I attended St Aidens Junior School and after passing my 11 plus went on to Brinkburn Grammar School.
At the age of 13 we immigrated to South Africa. We lived for 18 months in Vereeninging, Transvaal (now Gauteng) were I attended General Smuts High School.
We then moved to Kitwe in Zambia. As the schools were of such a low standard, I was sent back to Grangemouth in Scotland to stay with my Grandparents. Here I went to Grangemouth High.
After completing my O-Levels I returned to Zambia. I met my wife Heather during this time.
In 1997 we returned, once again to South Africa. I did my basic training as a draughtsman in Johannesburg and then started working for myself as a contract/freelance draughtsman.
During this time my sons Stuart and Daniel and my daughter Kyla-Jane were born.
In 1989 we moved to Oranjemund, Namibia were we are to this day. As there is no high school in Oranjemund, my children attend school in Cape Town, South Africa. The boys are at Wynberg Boys High and my daughter at Wynberg Girls.
My mum and Dad have retired back in Hartlepool, England as well as my younger brother Robert. I have 2 other brothers, Eddie and Keith, and a sister, Marilyn still living in South Africa.
Heather’s mother lives in Plettenburg Bay, along with her older sister Jeanette. She also has another sister, Kathleen, and a brother Ian, living in Gauteng.
