~That light
always led us on... Just like a messiah...~
"The light awakens.
The light that will lead us to the ruin of the sacred
land... I can see another light. A starlight... The
brightness of a planet's protection. Filled with the same
power as our old world."
The evil world of
Nemesis has fallen; it's reign on Crystal Tokyo averted by
the legendary Sailor Senshi. A horrible battle that took
the life of Sailor Pluto, or so we thought. Now, the
Senshi can live "as normal teenagers", right?
Wrong.
There is a new enemy that has
come to Tokyo. Unnoticed by everyone, except Rei, who has
been having visions of a not-so-bright, very near, future.
A horrible future. The god of ruin was about to awaken .
. .
Many strange occurrences make
the headlines in Tokyo newpapers. All involving a private
high school, Infinity High. And the Witches 5 of Death
Busters; Eudial, Viluy, Mimete, Tellu and Cyprine; each
defeated by the Sailor Senshi. A particular scientist, by
the name of Tomoe Souichi, has come to the attention and
concern of Luna. After research, she discovered that
Tomoe was a radical, performing outrageous experiments,
often gruesome, involving human genetic engineering, on
his own daughter!
Two mysterious Sailor
Senshi appear, as if out of nowhere. They introduce
themselves as Sailor Neptune and Uranus. Even though they
claim to be Senshi, their attitude to the rest of the
Senshi team is cold and hostile. Luna reluctantly tells
of the tale of these Senshi: "Originally, these
Sailor Senshi were not supposed to be here. Like Pluto,
they have a different mission and jurisdiction. They are
supposed to be far away; you weren't supposed to run into
them".
To add to the confusion, Usagi
and Mamoru's relationship is rapidly dissolving. Mamoru
no longer calls Usagi, "Usako", but rather
"Usa", which shocks and hurts Usagi. Usagi
wonders if it is because of the presence of Chibi Usa,
that makes her time with Mamoru "uncomfortable".
She begins to wonder if Mamoru is interested in the
popular young violinist, Kaiou Michiru. Mamoru, in turn,
wonders what's going on between the hot new heartthrob-model,
Ten'ou Haruka (whom at this point, is assumed to be male).
Chibiusa, meanwhile has
befriended Tomoe's daughter, Hotaru. Hotaru has the
unique ability to heal, but she, herself, is very weak
and has frequent "fits". Chibiusa revealed her
true identity to Tomoe, in an attempt to get to know her
better, going as far as showing her the Ginzuisho.
After as series of battles with the Death Busters
and their "daimons", yet another Sailor is
reunited with the Team - Sailor Pluto. As we recall,
Sailor Pluto was destroyed during the battle with the
Black Moon. When Chibiusa questions Pluto, she replies
"I borrowed the power of your beautiful mother, Neo-Queen
Serenity; I was reincarnated". Uranus, Neptune and
Pluto introduce themselves as the Outer Senshi. They
explain that their true mission is to protect the Prince
and Princess of the Silver Millennium - and to locate the
Messiah; the one who can avert the Doom.
More and more trouble begins with the Infinity Area.
People begin to go missing . . . The time had come. The
end was near.
During another battle, Usagi,
Mamoru and Chibiusa combine their powers to uncover the
legendary Holy Grail (no relation between the Biblical
reference). The power of the Holy Grail reveals the Outer
Senshi's Talismans, and increases Sailor Moon's power,
causing her to become Super Sailor Moon.
Meanwhile, Hotaru has noticed
that the frequency of her fits have greatly increased,
almost as someone was taking over her body. (continued
from page 3) She can no longer resist the evil intentions
of her father. Against her will, she attacks Chibiusa,
and steals and swallows her Ginzuisho, "killing"
her instantly. The Mistress also fed on the spirits of
the Inner Senshi.
Finally, the truth about Tomoe
Souichi. Eight year ago, one his experiments went out of
control, causing a fire which resulted in the death of
his wife and daughter. So overcome with sorrow, Tomoe
gave his soul to an evil being known as Pharoh90,
for the exchange of his daughters life. Pharoh90
corrupted the scientist, making him experiment on his
daughter, preparing her to become the Anti-Messiah (again,
no Biblical reference intended), Mistress 9.
The brutal battle began. Hotaru
transformed into Mistress 9. She stood before the Senshi,
ready to take over the world, in the name of Pharoh90.
The Senshi were fast losing the battle, and it looked
like the end was coming nearer. But all was not well
within Mistress 9. The spirit of Hotaru still lived.
Hotaru's will led her to break
free of the evil that trapped her. She returned the
Senshi's spirits, as well as the Ginzuisho to Chibiusa,
restoring her life. Hotaru disappeared . . .
From the depths of the rapidly
growing disturbance in the center of the Infinity area,
came a new warrior; Sailor Saturn, goddess of destruction.
Sailor Moon, too, was undergoing a transformation. Her
longing to save her friends, and her love, Mamoru caused
her to transform into Princess Serenity; the Messiah of
the White Moon . . . Sailor Saturn ordered Pluto to
forever close the passageway between the future and past
. . . and she disappeared with it. Princess raised
her Moon rod high into the air, cleaning Tokyo of the
evil influence of Pharoah90.
After the battle, the Sailors came across a tiny
baby bearing the mark of Saturn on her forehead; Saturn
had been reincarnated. The Outer Senshi accepted their
new mission; to raise and care for the infant Saturn.
Promising their return, they disappeared off into the
sunset in helicopters, leaving the remaining Senshi to
watch from below. Usagi stares into the sky. . .
~We will surely meet again. Haruka-san.
Michiru-san. Setsuna-san. And Hotaru-chan. Again, someday...
Surely!~
