I remember when I was younger, I use to watch the Muppets all the time. When I moved to Texas, I did not see the Muppets again until the summer of 1995. The Muppet Show was on Nickoloden in the morning, and while I got ready to go my tennis lesson I'd watch it. By the end of the summer, it was canceled. When I heard Muppets Tonight was going to be on I was so happy. I watch every show I could, but it did not last long at all. Muppets Tonight is on Sunday nights on Disney, but I'm not usually home. So I turned to the Muppet tapes. (Yes I know I'm sad.) I have The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, Muppet Treasure Island, Muppet Classic Theater, Meet the Muppets, and More Muppets Please! Sadly enough I know most of the tapes by heart.
Jim Henson Company did not just make Muppet movies, they also worked on other films. In the early '80s they came out with The Dark Crystal, then came Labyrinth, followed by The Witches, and Buddy. Henson also had a hand in many TV show, Emmet Otter's Jug-band Christmas, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, Jim Henson's The Storyteller, and Dinosaurs, just to name a few. They did the visual effects for Babe.
On a May 16, 1990, Jim Henson passed away in New York. His family continues to run the company.
Here are some of the pictures I have for the Muppets.
