Whilst usually not in the league of traditional poetry (this be spoken or written) lyrics to music possess a certain charm. This form of poetry (which I consider it to be, since it usually rhymes, differs from normal written language and naturally follows a certain rhythmic pattern) is also known by a larger amount of people than traditional music. Most people can cite a Beatles song but are unable to quote, say, a poem by Wordsworth.
This is my own little collection of memorable lines, beautiful passages and funny quotes from .. lyrics to music.
