Aamchi Laal = Puneri jargon indicating a general sense of superiority over others in all possible ways. BJMC's Batch of 1993 uses these words a lot, and the following are the reasons why...

Academic, Extra-curricular, and Cultural Achievements -

• Joined BJ Medical College on August 16th, 1993.

• 1st MBBS -

  • Organized "Shree-93" Ganeshotsav.

  • Arts Circle organized "Geet Ramayan" performed by Sudhir Phadke.

  • Participated in "Firodiya-93".

• 2nd MBBS -

  • Organized annual gathering "Reanissance-95".

  • Participated in "Firodiya-95" and presented the play "Adnyatatun Adnyata kade".

  • Participated in "Purushottam-95" and presented the play "Sharyat". Won first prize for Best Experimental Theatre.

  • Participated in "Kalyani-95" and won the Best Orchestra and Best Group Dance awards.

  • Participated in "Razzmatazz-95" held in Goa, and won All India third place in the Group Dance competition.

  • Organized IOACON-95 - National Conference of the Indian Orthopedics Association.

  • Participated in "Hasyankika-96", presented the play "Phakta Praudhan Sathi", and won First Prize for the play.

• 3rd MBBS -

  • Participated in "Purushottam-96" and reached second round.

  • Organized "Morya-96" Ganeshotsav. Included presentation of the play "Tarun Turk, Mhatare Ark".

  • Arts Circle organized "Kalyani-96"

  • Reached 2nd round in the State Dramatics Competition-96 with the play "Ti Geli Tevha"

  • Participated in the Dramatics competition in Daund with the play "Anesthesia" and won awards for the Best Drama, Best Music Director, and Best Lights.

  • Organized the All India Conference on HIV/AIDS Medicine - 96

  • Active participation in the organization of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of BJ Medical College. Also did all decorations for the celebrations for which the group received special commendations.

  • Annual Inter Medical college HIV/AIDS Quiz - won both 1st and 2nd places.

  • Participated in "Firodiya-97" with the play "Magchyach Thech Pudhcha Weda".

  • Presented Musical Drama at "Verve-97".

  • Annual IAP Pediatrics Quiz-97 - won the Pune Divisional Round.

  • Organized State level Annual Inter Medical College HIV/AIDS Quiz.

  • Participated in "Firodiya-98" with the play "Athang Asthitvachya Anumatra Kopryat".

  • Interns participated in the Panshet camp for children as medical officers.

  • Participated in "Purushottam-98" with the play "Sama-dwibhuj-trikon" and won the Best Actor Award.

Mountaineering -

• May 1995 - participated in the Basic Mountaineering Course. Most Participants won the 'A Grade' which made them eligible for the Advanced Mountaineering Course.

• Purandar Camps - organized the camps for incoming freshmen from 1996 to 1999.

Sports -

• Football - won the inter-class football tournaments in 1995, 1996, and 1997.

• Organized the "BJ League-95" football tournament.
