1998 Airline Consolidators Quick Reference Chart

Consolidators can slash airfare costs on your travels. They are companies that buy blocks of tickets on scheduled airlines and sell them at wholesale prices. Tickets may be up to 50 percent below the cost of APEX fares (advance purchase tickets on scheduled airlines that carry certain restrictions) or up to 75 percent below the cost of full-fare coach seats.

In addition to the cost, the advantage of getting tickets from airline consolidators is that you usually don't have a 21-day advance purchase to get the best price or a Saturday night stay requirement.
