Some notes on Women's Self-Defense
On being attacked
1)Women do not get punched unless:
It is by another woman
they are on the ground
they are against a wall or other solid object
they are getting slapped
2)Women get grabbed:
around the throat
around the wrist
around the arm in a double grab
3)When a woman gets grabbed:
the attacker wants her to try to get away
the attacker expects her to try to pull away
the attacker will be more than happy to follow a woman as she tries to pull away
if she tries to pull away she places herself at a psychological disadvantage
4)Male attackers generally are so intent on the attack that one or even two strikes are not going to phase them
5)Male attackers will be more than glad to tackle a woman if it will get them what they want.
*an attack ending up on the ground is the norm thus a woman should be prepared to be rushed, tackled, and taken to the ground.
on the defense
