Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers
"I wanna help her too-- and help myself, of course."

--- Gale Weathers

"Dewey's a little resentful of her, and she has to try her best to win him back. And she lets Sidney down right away -- the first time she sees her. So pretty much, no one likes her again in this movie."

--- Courteney Cox

COURTENEY COX reprises her role as Gale Weathers, the nakedly ambitious tabloid-TV reporter who originally came to Woodsboro to investigate the murders, but ended up capitalizing on them, earning Sidney's ire and breaking Dewey's heart in the process. Now, Gale has written a bestseller about the Woodsboro murders that has been made into a movie called "Stab." The movie soon triggers a new rash of killing at Windsor College.

Cox plays the sweetly neurotic Monica Geller on the vastly popular sitcom "Friends." She recently starred with Aidan Quinn and Anthony LaPaglia in the romantic comedy "Commandments." In 1994, she shared box-office success with Jim Carrey in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective."

Cox's previous television work include a small role as a debutante named Bunny on the popular CBS series "As the World Turns," "Family Ties," as Michael J. Fox's girlfriend Lauren, and "Misfits of Science."

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Cox first gained attention dancing with Bruce Springsteen in his video "Dancing in the Dark."
