JADA PINKETT is Maureen Evans, a senior at Windsor College, who hates scary movies.

Pinkett's career took off since she landed the role of street-smart Lena James on the hit NBC series "A Different World." She made her feature film debut as a headstrong single mother in the Hughes Brothers' "Menace II Society."

Last year, Pinkett starred with Vivica A. Fox in the female-driven urban action-drama "Set It Off," and in "The Nutty Professor" with Eddie Murphy. Her film credits include "A Low Down and Dirty Shame," "The Inkwell," "Demon Knight," and "Jason's Lyric." She also starred in the HBO original movie "If These Walls Could Talk," starring Demi Moore, Sissy Spaceck, and Cher. Her next film is the dark comedy "Woo."

Pinkett was born on August 18, 1971 in Maryland, and studied at The Baltimore School of Arts and the North Carolina School of Arts.
