PORTIA DE ROSSI portrays Murphy, a social-climbing sorority sister who, along with Lois, tries to convince Sidney Prescott to join their elite group, the Delta Lambda Zeta sorority.

De Rossi first got her break appearing in TV commercials. She began her feature film career while enrolled in law school in her native Australia when a local film producer asked her to audition for an independent film. The film, "Sirens," co-starred Hugh Grant and Sam Neil. She got the part of "Giddy," a 16-year-old caught between the notion of being a wild and free "siren" or being a conventional and sophisticated woman. The film became an international and critical success.

De Rossi is currently working on two films: "A Breed Apart," with Andrew McCarthy and "Toby's Story."
