* Early ex-libris from Fribourg and the Suisse Romande. With a selection of pieces from one public and three private collections, this exhibition will show some of the most interesting bookplates from the French-speaking part of Switzerland between the 15th and 18th centuries. The «Suisse Romande» lies at the interface of Germanic and Latin aesthetic traditions, and the ex-libris of the area are a reflection of this situation.
* Swiss bookplates of the 20th century- Accompanied by a 160-page full colour publication, this exhibition is the result of a year's research by Josef Burch, Benoît Junod, Marianne Kalt and Julia Vermes. Some 300 items will be on show, considered by the curators to be the "best" of modern Swiss bookplates. There are many discoveries to be made!
