Once again the Hip did it up in grand style. This was the fourth show I have seen this year and I still cant help myself from wondering what to expect. And as usual, the surprises just kept on coming.
The first song of the set was Something On. From there the show just got more and more intense with searing renditions of classics such as Fully completly, Courage, and Lionised, to mellow, almost hipnotic versions of Scared, and Emporer Penguin. The band rocked. Gordie was more vocal between songs then I have seen in a long time, and it almost looked like Johnny was going to beat his drums to the point of breaking.
WHAT A GREAT SHOW. It's too bad I had to work the next day. I would have stayed for the second one on Thursday.
