Leaving the boar where you killed it you go off into the woods. You wander around for a few minutes before you discover the source of the distress call: there is an old man stuck in a very deep hole in the ground. You call down to him, assuring him that help is here and ask him what happened. He tells you that his name is Aphneus. He was out walking in the woods when he fell into the hole. He thinks his ankle is broken, so he can't climb out, so that is why he was calling for help. Looking down into the hole you realize that it isn't very deep, but it has smooth sides, so anyone who falls in would be unlikely to get out without assistance. You don't have any rope, but there are some vines and bolders near the hill a little farther down the trail. You can either use your strength to pull the man out using the vines, or you can pile bolders down into the pit and climb down to carry the man out.
A -- I want to use the vines.
B -- I want to use the boulders.
