Being the strong son of Zeus that you are you decide that you don't want to wait another minute to pull the man out of the hole and send the harness down to him. You are not ready for the forceful way the man pulls on the vine and you fall into the hole yourself. The old man starts laughing, and turns into Ares right before your eyes. He transports himself out of the hole, and says "Tell uncle Hades hello for me, little Brother!" as he fills in the hole, making escae impossible. Hopefully Iolaus will be able to save you before you suffocate, but it doesn't seem too likely.
