Spyre looked down at Demise as he faced the court in the Main Hall of the Spyre clan base. Demise had been stripped of all clothing and everything else to make sure that he couldn't kill himself or escape. Demise was also chained by his arms and legs. Demise looked over to his left and then to his right. He had seen these trials before but never thought he would be in one. He was completely surrounded by the agents of Spyre. To his left was a large bench with many of the higher up members, behind him were the lower ranking members and new recruits, to his right were the witnesses Spyre was to call to concure with his judgement of Demise's crimes, and in front was Spyre. For the first time in his life, Demise was scared. Spyre then began to talk. "Demise you have been convicted of the following crimes: Displaying emotion on several occasions, killing a non-member of Spyre to cover up another member of Spyre's non-loyalty, not killing yourself when you were captured by Hyru, not killing yourself when you were captured by the Kin Shi Tal, working for the enemy, not using the chain of command for plan approvals, letting emotion control your decisions and actions, losing 4 Spyre agents needlessly for emotional reasons that were put under your command, and for disobeying several of your commanders orders. The penalty for these crimes is high but unfortunutely we can only kill you one time. It is my judgement that you shall be given our other poison called kusaru." Demise winced at the sound of the name. He had seen first hands the effects of the new poison Spyre had made to kill unloyal agents of Spyre. It was different from the poison pill because it was a liquid and was absorbed through the skin. Only one drop was needed to kill. After the poison was absorbed, your body would start to age rapidly until you reached the age of decay and then it would slowly let you rot into dust. Spyre then began again after a second or two, "I will now call the first observer of these crimes, commander Torgk stand and approach the witness box." Commander Torgk got up from his seat and walked over to the witness box and sat down. "Commander Torgk, do you concure with me that Demise did display emotion on his mission with you to kill Gowri Gabrieve?" "Yes Spyre. He argued with me about the whereabouts of Gowri when it was clear to me that he was indeed at the place where we were at. He kept yelling and saying other things, most of which I couldn't understand. No true Spyre agent would do such a thing," commader Torgk said as he finished. All the agents nodded in agreement. "You may step down Torgk." Torgk did as Spyre commanded. "I now call an agent of Spyre that was under Demise's command on one of his missions. Tou, approach the witness box." Tou got up from his chair and sat down at the witness box. "Tou, do you agree that Demise killed Corbane of the Kin Shi Tal and substituted his body for Ultimate-Zero's thereby ignoring and disobeying a direct command order from me?" "Yes, Tou said, "He was Ultimate-Zero's friend and couldn't follow orders when the time came. Instead he was swayed by emotion and killed Corbane instead of Ultimate-Zero and then threatened to kill us if we told. How foolish he was that his emotion blinded him to the fact that without fear in the members of Spyre, his threat meant nothing. We follow our leaders based on our beliefs and faith. Not his way." The Spyre agents again nodded in approval and Tou was allowed to step down. All this time Demise couldn't believe what was happening. He wished he had gotten out when he had the chance. "I will now call upon our infultration specialist Krion to the witness box." Krion got up and sat down in the witness box. "Krion, is it not true that when you were infultrating Hyru's clan as a false member you witnessed Demise's capture and then also the fact he didn't kill himself in violation of a code of honor and faith given to all agents of Spyre?" Spyre said. "Yes. Demise was given many chances to kill himself to avoid capture and interrogation by Hyru, but he didn't. I would have killed him myself but I lost track of him in his escape." Demise got angry by this and yelled over at Krion, "What the hell do you know!? You probably would have tried to escape to!" Krion looked down at Demise, "No. I would have done what was necessary. You know nothing of Spyre agents loyalty." With that Krion got down off the witness box, took out his sword, and thrust it through his chest. The blood ran onto the floor and flowed past Demise, making his chains and legs stained with it. "Maybe now you have an idea of what it means to be in Spyre, said Spyre, "I now call the next witness. Agent Franger approach the witness box."
