Esimed had been in the swamps for about a week. He had found out that the man he had first spoke to was Goba and that he was seen as a town leader. His daughter was the prettiest girl in town, and every boy (and man) was after her. Many of the women in this village were in danger of being raped because for every 6 men their was one women and there was about 70 to 90 people in the village. The only thing that made her safe was that she was Goba's daughter but recently some of the men were getting "lonely". Esimed had spent one night in Goba's house and felt out of place. He could tell that Goba and his daughter were scared of him and were afraid to take back their offer. On the third night Esimed's home was still not done but he slept there any way because for the first time in his life he was truly in love. To Esimed's dismay he made the Goba's daughter feel uneasy and worse, he still didn't know her name. Over the course of the week he learned a lot about the village. One of the things he learned was that about every six weeks or so, a village deeper in the swamps would attack Gomanon. Esimed had found out the village where he was staying at was called Gomanon. This other village stole food, clothes, what little money the Gomanon's were able to raise, and on more then one raid, stole women. It was about time for the next raid and Esimed had started to let his emotions show because he still believed that someone made him use his emotions to begin with. He told himself he was letting his feelings in and not someone else. He cared for these people and he would be damned if he let the raiders hurt the village. He was among the best fighters in Spyre and he could fight like Angestal when needed. He talked to the people and learned the raiding party was only about 15 men. It was so small but the Gomanon's were scared to fight back. Esimed told himself that would change. He would help these people.
