The theatre fan club of the Voice of Vietnam radio station, the Performing Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Nam Dinh Culture and Information Service and Hanoi Radio and Television Station have jointly held an art exchange programme entitled ‘Cheo Clowns on the Stage’ at the national cheo (Vietnamese operetta) theatre festival in Nam Dinh city. Some theatre directors and researchers highlighted the basic features of cheo clowns and discussed ways to create modern clown roles. Famous cheo clowns gave performances during the intervals.
