This one is a shocker. Mickey Mouse does not stand for magic, youth, and happiness anymore. Mickey stands for slavery, oppression, and corruption. After years of producing garments in Haiti and paying workers less than 6 cents and hour to produce $19.99 101 Dalmation childrens outfits, Disney faced public exposure so their contractor H.H. Cutler pulled out and fled. They said their was no work. However the NLC found Disney and H.H. Cutler in Mexico sporting a help wanted poster along the border of Acuna. They were hiring new workers to sew Hercules, 101 Dalmation, and Lion King children's clothing. THe conditions in Mexico had not improved much from those previous in Haiti.

-forced overtime
shifts from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday
-Then 7:30 till 4:00 on Saturdays
-No clean drinking water for employees
-The plant is hot and dry, filled with lint and dust
-The average wage was 57 cents an hour
-For a 48 hour week that is $27.27 (no one can live on these wages because food food casts a small family $30 a week and rent is $12)
-The workers end up living in slums with no change of progression

When workers were shown the price that the garments they produced were sold for in they U.S. they were shocked and quoted saying "They are cheating us! Robbing us!"
