Social Effects (A list of social effects and how they impacted you or others around you.)

First there was a two to three day realization that everyone around me knew who I was and something about my past. Immediate social effects were devastating resulting in near total isolation; everyone, especially high school kids had extremely red faces. After the first 3 months of isolation people would say very little and seemed to be distant, including old friends and family.

Friends would not discuss any aspect and referred me to more competent help even though they had discussed it in front of me with others. Discussion with others of knowledge in third person discussion about me was always met with absolute denial when confronted. I had sold the family business, cabin and given up my career, still no one would say a thing. I was totally alone.

I made plans to leave the country and went to Africa and Australia for a year with hope of relocating to Australia. When I returned no one said anything, trusting no one, I left for Canada to visit with a girl friend and then move down to the SW US. I relocated in Las Vegas and realizing my notoriety I soon reverted to a reclusive life style. I made no friends and could not find a job in Las Vegas, people seemed mixed on what was going on.

I spent hours working on my computer and looking at pornography, which other people seemed to know on the street. There appeared to be a tacit public approval to watching me writhe in agony. After the second year the general population had taken a keen dislike to me. The frustration of having no trust with family and friends was excruciating and resulted in complete loss of self-respect and much anger.

New attempts to establish friendships and become involved with groups failed miserably after months of effort.

I finally resorted to the realization that I didn't need anybody who wasn't a victim, the cost of betrayal was too great.
