Small Soldiers
Stephen King's outtake on "Toy Story".
Rated PG-13
Starring:
Kirsten Dunst
Phil Hartman
Tommy Lee Jones
You saw the ads for this movie. Maybe you said something to the effects of... eh, looks pretty weird. Darn right it's weird. Small Soldiers takes place in a suburban town where a boy running his dad's toy store gets a shipment of these brand new toys on the market: Small Soldiers and Golorians. Archer is the main Golorian and makes friends with the boy, Alan, quickly. Little does Alan know that these toys are both infused with military chips and are able to adapt and communicate. The Small Soldiers' job is to go after these Golorians and destroy them. I can say that Miriam and I laughed in all the wrong places in this movie. There's some bad acting romance between Alan and Kristy (Kirsten Dunst). Gag me.
Best Part About the Movie:
Phil Hartman gave a pretty good performance as Phil, the next door neighbor. (type casting?)
Best Line:
"Life is full of little dissapointments."
Casey's Rating:
One and a half bowls of popcorn. Everyone in the theater (with the exception of Mir and me) walked out of there with pale, sickly looking faces. It's not gorey, but it's definitely disgusting. Go back to Toy Story, guys.
