Clement Alfred Guillaume was born Hallowe’en 1922 in Sioux City, Iowa.  He was the oldest of 7 boys.  He was baptized in St. Johns Norwegian Lutheran church in Sioux City.  In 1936 he was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran church.  And was graduated from St. Paul’s Lutheran School about the same time.  He went on to graduate from Central High School in January 1941.  From December 1941 thru January 1945 he was a proud member of the United States Navy.  He served aboard the USS Chilton and reached the rank of Radioman 1/c.  After his honorable discharge in 1945, he made use of the GI Bill and attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.  He was graduated August 10, 1949 with a degree in accounting.  After graduation he was employed by the Wertz Feed Company in Sioux City.  Also obtaining a 2nd job at the Harbeck Footwear Company.  On September 27, 1944 he and Martha Gene Boysen were united in holy matrimony in Texas.  They had known each other for 6 weeks before he asked her to marry him.  The first time she laughed.  But the 2nd time she accepted.  Martha Gene Boysen was born November 6, 1922 in Schleswig, Crawford, Iowa.  She was the oldest of 4 children.  Martha was baptized on November 9, 1922 in Immanuel Lutheran church in Schleswig.  It was said that she was first kept in a shoe box in the dresser to keep her warm.  On March 24, 1937 she was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa.  Then in May 1940 she was graduated from Denison High School.  One of her classmates was Donna Reed the actress.  She enjoyed a short term in the United States Navy from 1942 thru 1944.  In those days, women who married were given an honorable discharge.  She achieved a rank of Radioman 3/c and was stationed in New Orleans, La.  In New Orleans she worked as a decoder.  She also learned both Morse Codes.  They were married 56 years.  Clement died June 12, 2001 and Martha died October 15, 2004.  Both are buried in Memorial Cemetery in Sioux City.
