Carl (Charles) Hensen was married to Emma Maria Lehfeldt. Emma was the daughter of Johannes and Maria Lehfeldt. Emma was born Feb 8, 1837. Carl was born about 1836. They immigrated to the United States on July 13, 1870 aboard the SS Silesea to New York from Hamburg, Germany. With them were 4 children: Carl, Emelia, William and Heinrich. They can be found in the 1880 census for Goodrich Twp., Crawford, Iowa.
