Ida Maria Catharina Lehfeldt was born February 4, 1863 in Curau, Eutin, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. She was the daughter of Hans Heinrich and Emelie Sophia (Knaack) Lehfeldt. Her family immigrated to the United States on July 13, 1870 aboard the SS Silesea from Hamburg, Germany to New York. Ida and Alexander Aebischer were married June 24, 1886 in Crawford County Iowa. On April 2, 1899, Ida passed away.
