Schmidt the Destroyer
With groin-stricken Kelly having retreated into goal, the powerful Gavin Schmidt was freed to wreak midfield havoc one fateful night at Island Gardens. Hapless victim in this tale is James "P" Allen who was frankly bounced to the ground in a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge. With laughter still ringing around the arena, Schmidt repeated the feat within 90 seconds, prompting consoling words from Kelly.
The Bolshy Kid
As our 7-8pm session reached 8.10pm with battle still raging. Kid invades pitch, saying: "Get off we've got this pitch booked". Kelly retorts with: "We're finishing our game," sparking a violent outburst of expletives from the child as his peers marched on to claim their turf.
