FILIPPO INZAGHI ACHIEVEMENT

Filippo Inzaghi scored his 46th strike in Milan's 1-0 victory over Ajax to claim the fifth place in the European topscorer rankings, albeit level with Real Madrid star Santillana. Only Muller (67), Eusebio (57), Heynckes (51), Di Stefano (49) did better than him. However, Inzaghi holds the record among the scorers still in action. Superpippo has savoured his prolific recent form, as he clinched six goals within ten days: four with Italy, one each in the Serie A and the Champions League with Milan.
