NOBODY LIKE HIM
This magnificent start of season has a name and a surname:
Filippo Inzaghi. At the 'Riazor', in La Coruna, Superpippo went forcefully down
in history: he is the Italian top scorer in European competitions.
He beat Alessandro Altobelli's record, scoring a hat-trick which he could tell
of to his posterity with proud: 40 goals in 50 games, 10 in the 6 six official
matches Milan have played so far (a brace against Slovan, another against Modena
and against Lens, 1 strike against Perugia). Champions League top marksman (with
5 goals this season), he netted altogheter in this competition 24 times in his
career and can sit in the hall of fame among the best scorers of all times.
Filippo Inzaghi plays for Milan which are flying high as it has never happened
recently. It's a successful Milan, they make fun and excite. With Arrigo Sacchi
the team changed the Italian menthality in Europe, with Ancelotti now they can
repeat the same.
After Modena, Lens and Perugia, Milan were to face an important test against
Deportivo and they managed to go through it with an unexpected personality.
Thanks to a vintage performace from Inzaghi, but also to the spectacular
football showed by their stars. From Maldini to Nesta, from Pirlo to Seedorf.
Milan are belonging the games and exciting, playing in the same way away and at
the San Siro, carving out chances at will and defending with accurancy. It's not
a dream, it's reality. And it's just the beginning...
