INZAGHI PLAYS DOWN SHEVCHENKO ROW

Inzaghi shed some light upon the apparent on the pitch-argument he had with his
attacking partner Shevchenko in the Stadio Tardini of Parma.
“Things like that happen, he called the ball because he thought he was all
alone, but he wasn’t. However I want to make it clear that we are great
friends,” said Inzaghi.
The incident the former Juve striker is referring to occurred late in the second
half when, on a cross by Serginho, he left the ball for Shevchenko to connected
with only to see a Parma defender anticipate his teammate. This event infuriated
the goal-hungry Inzaghi, who basically told Sheva to go to hell in front of the
entire stadium's eyes.
Shevchenko has still not commented on the incident.
