INZAGHI: "I HOPE TO GET ANOTHER DOUBLE AGAINST HUNGARY"

Inzaghi welcomed the then new Italy manager, Trapattoni, on his debut, in his own particular way; scoring twice in Budapest against Hungary on the 3rd of September 2000; goals that weren't rewarded as Hungary came back scoring twice.

The rossoneri attacker confides: "I hope to score another double in the game at the Tardinin against Hungary; not so much for personal glory, as to ensure that we qualify for the world cup. We are at a crossroads, and we mustn't slip up. This is an objective that we've been working for two years to fulfil. It will be a difficult game, as they have nothing to lose, and plenty to gain.We have to concentrate, and not take any risks. This is a game that we'll win using our heads, rather than our legs or hearts".

The absence of Vieri and Nesta, doesn't particularly worry Inzaghi; "They are two players who are fundamentally important for us, but we have other players too, and those players who deserve to be called up can comfortably stand in for them".

Pippo's final thoughts were on the Scudetto, confiding that: "Inter are opponents that we should fear. They aren't playing great football, but they are getting results. Cuper is doing an excellent job, despite the fact that the injuries to Vieri and Ronaldo have stopped him from playing his first choice team. Regarding Juve, you know what I think; they will fight right up till the last moment. They are perhaps my favourites for the Scudetto".
