MILANO - After four friendlies, three internationals, Terim's plans for the team are starting to emerge more clearly, with the attack seeming the area that needs the least work to be done. Inspired by the genius of Rui Costa, Shevchenko and Inzaghi could become unstoppable. Whilst the Ukranian broke his summer fast with a goal against Besiktas (from an Inzaghi assist), the ex-Juve striker at his side has settled in quickly, seeming the perfect partner for Sheva, and thus dispelling comments heard only a month ago, which suggested that the two goal-kings could be incompatible. Inzaghi is optimistic; "We are doing some good things, and upfront itis easy to build an understanding with players of this quality. We are hoping to continue in the same way, even if recently our results haven't been great. However we are growing as a team, and with hard work and patience we'll be ready for the most important match;the first game of the season"

"When we play our quick, inter-passing attacking game, we can really harm the opposition",continued Inzaghi. "It's no coincidence that when we were spreading the ball around in attack against Besiktas, we really caused problems for their defence. Furthermore, we are able to do this after only three weeks working together. As the season progresses, our physical condition will improve, and then hopefully we'll be able to improve even more".

Inzaghi isn't only helped by his link with Rui Costa and Sheva. Indeed, for his assist in Sheva's goal at Besiktas, Pippo received the ball onthe edge of the area from Serginho, a player that Pippo is quick to praise; "In the way we play, Serghino is fundamental. He is an excellent player, who always seems to beat his man, and who with his service from the side can be devastating. We need to find the best way to play to his strengths, because he is the kind of player who can make the difference in matches".

The defensive problems seen so far, don't unduly worry Inzaghi, who also points out that "This is a problem for the whole team to work on. We have to press the oppositionmore, even we attackers, who can be in effect the first line of defence. However, we are also working on that, and we will improve".

On Thursday, the day of his 28th birthday, Pippo will face his old team, but he isn't going into the match dreaming of revenge; "It wouldn't be right. We will play in this match with the intention of doing well, and improving.The fact that we face Juve, doesn't create any particular problems for me. I'll be pleased to see my ex-teammates, but I play for Milan now, so obviously the rossoneri are my priority".
