Pippo Inzaghi, Serie A top scorer with
his six goals (the same netted also by Francesco Totti), proved once more
incisive. Irreprensible, unquenchable, pitiless. Against Torino he scored three
goals, one more spectacular than the other.
The Granata haven't been crushed 6-0 since January 11, 1959 in the Serie A, as
they were home floored by Fiorentina. Their worst defeat, however, was a home
0-7 at hand of Milan, on February 26, 1950.
With this last hat-trick Superpippo took his tally to 15 goals in nine games
this season, 31 in 34 games in a Rossonero shirt, while in the European Cups he
has reached 42. Extraordinary figures but Pippo has accustomed us to such
records.
He's relishing a magic moment, though he has not recovered from his foot-injury
yet. But his coexistence with the pain is not so bad, considering the results.
'The magic moment is going on, I hope it won't finish because I'm really
happy. I want to enjoy it until it lasts'.
