Mr. X
Mr. X (real
name unknown) survived for 2 years. During this time,he was
Mulder’s major informer. He was not as loyal as Deep Throat
was and he was certainly not as willing to risk much. He lied to
Mulder on occasion and even betrayed him. He was killed near an
elevator when the government discovered he was communicating with
Mulder. He left Mulder a note in his own blood leading to
Mulder’s latest informer, Marita Covarrubias.
