The X-Files are still close and Agents Mulder and Scully are given other government assignments. During this hard time for Mulder, he begins to stop believing in his beliefs that "The Truth Is Out There." Until he is contacted by Richard Matheson (a senator) who informs him that they are closing the SETI program site in Puerto Rico due to them receiving a strange message from the Voyager spacecraft. Scully joins him in this quest as they risk their life fleeing other government officials to find "The Truth."

When Mulder gets his next case of a murder in Newark, he thinks that it's a punishment for working on the X-Files. Under further investigation he learns that the murder was a flukeworm that mutated into a humanoid form from radioactive material transported on a ship from Chernobyl.

Mulder is called upon to investigate a string of common murders in Pennsylvania. He finds out that not even one of the victims had a violent history and they all died at the end of their sprees. The only clues: an unknown organic substance and destroyed electronic devices. (whose LCD's triggered the murders)

Mulder and Agent Krycek investigate a series of strange death. For instance, a scientist died from being burned to death and there was no sign of fire or burn marks on the man's body. They ultimately find out that the ARMY made some soldiers better by permanent insomnia. None of these soldiers have slept in 24 years. One of these soldiers was Augustus Cole, who died in Vietnam and wants to combine his dream and reality, through violent means to his fellow comrades.

Former FBI agent Duane Barry goes "postal", escapes from a mental hospital and takes many hostage. He then blames all this behavior on the fact that he was abducted by aliens. He believes that the only way to stop this behavior is to sacrifice someone to these aliens. This someone is… Agent Scully! To Be Continued… (see next episode 2.6 "Ascension")

Agent Mulder chases Duane Barry and Scully through treacherous mountains, almost leading Mulder to his own death on a tramcar. Later Mulder leaned that his loyal partner, Alex Krycek, was a traitor, helping Cancer Man this whole time. At the end of Ascension, Scully is still missing! Barry claims that she's been taken by UFO's. Then Skinner reopens THE X-FILES!

To stay sane, Mulder keeps working on the X-Files. He investigates murders that resemble that of what vampires would do. He finds 3 vampires all working together and is almost drawn into their trap.

Scully magically reappears in Washington DC where she is being kept alive on full life support. Mulder (bond to find the truth of what happened) meets with Cancer Man. Cancer Man reveals that Mulder resembles his archenemies. Scully's spirit is visited by her dead father, which brings her back to life.

A robot made to resist lava in sent down a volcano and discover's an unknown life form. Mulder and Scully reunite and try to identify this life form.

Reports of cows being injected with alien DNA lead Mulder and Scully to Wisconsin. Once there they saw teenagers walking around late at night with "He Is One" or "She Is One" carved in their back. They later conclude that a vegetarian cult was behind all this because they live in a meat producing town.

In Massachusetts, a nursing home nurse claims that she was beaten and raped by an invisable force. It turns out that a drug given to patients at the nursing home unleashed his physical desires along with former patients of the nursing home.

In her sleep, a policewoman erasers her memory of a serial killer and finds the body of a FBI agent who 5 years before this was assigned to the case. So of course, the duo are assigned to the case, only to find that the serial killer st ruck again. They find out that genes were handed down making this sick-o go postal.

In Minnesota, Donald Pfaster, began a killing spree. He would capture people, and take over their minds. He kidnapped Scully, and used her subconscience about her being abducted by aliens.

"Die Hand Verletzt (The Hand That Wonds)"

Some kids pretend to perform a ceromony to impress their classmates and end up killing one of them. Later Mulder and Scully learn that the ritual was a Satan worshiping ceremony.

The case of a soldier driving into a tree in North Carolina calls in Mulder and Scully. They find out that the people in the town are practicing voodoo and the colonel is commanding the refugee area.

A serious of deaths occur, but the strange thing is that all the victims have the same face! So Mulder and Scully investigate when they learn that an article was published, asking for a cretin kind of doctor. In the middle of the case, Mulder get a phone call from his dad, saying that his long quest for his sister, Samantha, (the only reason Mulder joined the FBI X-Files) was home. See 2.17 "End Game" for the rest of the end.

An alien bounty hunter wanted to get to the clone of Samantha Mulder before Fox Mulder could. So he abducted Scully, and in exchange for his hostage, the alien wanted what Mulder's ambition in life was, his long lost sister, Samantha. Mulder then goes to the North Pole to duke it out with this thing.

A series of deaths are blamed on animals, tigers, gorillas, and elephants. The funny thing is that witnesses haven't seen any of these types of animals! The duo finds that aliens were abducting them to create their own Noah's ark.

A ship crashed and rescuers find a boatload of survivors. But they've aged decades in only a few days! The duo investigates and suffers the same fate! They must find a cure fast, before they die of old age!

A circus town in Florida, Gibsonton, was murders with no connections. The town was based on the carnival and all on its sideshows. Mulder, believing it's paranormal, but he's way off. Scully's skepticism helps solve this case.

When a small child is killed mysteriously, of course, our pals Mulder and Scully, are called in. They discover that his older brother did it. The parents say evil spirits controlled the boy. So an exorcism is preformed on the boy.

When Mulder and Scully are called into a case in which two prisoners have escaped, they wonder why. Until they find out that the inmates were infected with a disease. And so were the two escapees!
Air Date: 5-5-95 Scully runs into an old friend, and the friend asks her and Mulder to investigate a serious of disappearances. The only remains of each of were a black hole on the ground. What it turns out to be is that a scientist experiments have gone bad. Those were mini-black holes. (Like the ones in space) These black holes sucked up anything near it.

When the duo are asked to investigate a missing person. But they find out that in this town, cannibalism is a way of life.

Mulder is given a disk, which contains classified information about aliens and UFO's. But is nothing. Mulder is drugged, and punches out Skinner. Once he recovers, he goes to Nevada, where he finds a buried boxcar full of alien bodies, or human bodies which the government has preformed experiments on. But later, Cancer man finds something different, Mulder's death...
