Darkness against light.
Is it an equal fight, or is this simply not true?
The battle between good and evil or the dark and the light side of the
Force is symbolized by darkness and light. But while light needs a source to feed from, the darkness is never-ending. And if there were no
Darkness, no light would be seen as not a single person could feel joy about it. To be happy, humans need to accomplish goals. But to reach
these easily holds less satisfaction than if they were realized through hardship. But if there were only darkness, light would not be missed, as no one
would be able to see. Thus, while the light needs the darkness for its own survival it thus has to act passive.
The darkness, however, is
self-dependent and can act aggressive. It can destroy light and not be affected, save for substantial power increase (someone’s got to fill the
hole the light has left, and this is the only candidate).
Therefore, darkness will eventually win.
