DRUGS FOR KILLERS

Copyright © 1999 By Ray Thomas except for parts coming from posts

MSNBC had a poll, asking if we need more gun laws and psychiatric care for people to prevent more mass killings. I received a message with an appeal to participate in this poll. The list of killers on prescribed drugs came from that message, which came from Jailfire@aol.com and earlier fromphilparke@earthlink.net.

My message to MSNBC:

MSNBC:

We don't need new gun laws. They don't enforce the ones they have and criminals don't obey any laws. Gun laws just disarm their victims and make it easier for them to prey on us. One of the reasons schools are coming "under fire" lately is because these crazies are told that there will be no guns there in the hands of people who can kill them if they come in and start shooting. You can expect an increase in such shootings everywhere that the law denies people the right to carry weapons for self-defense.

Drugs that are given to people to "calm them down" are probably the biggest problem we have. We don't need to give already unstable people drugs to make them even more unstable:

These people were all on drugs when they did their "dirty deeds:"

  1. Kip Kinkel: He killed his parents and then shot and killed 2 students and wounded 22. He was on Prozac and Ritalin;

  2. T.J. Solomon: Wounded 8 when he opened fire on classmates. He was on Ritalin;

  3. Mathew Beck: He was on three different psychiatric drugs, when he opened fire at his work, killing four before killing himself;

  4. Bryn Hartman: She was on Zoloft when she killed husband Phil Hartman;

  5. Steve Allen Abrams: He was on Lithium when he purposefully drove his car into a nursery school playground, killing two children and injuring five;

  6. Laurie Dann was on Lithium and the antidepressant Anafril when she walked into a second grade classroom and began shooting children, killing one and wounding five before killing herself,

  7. Patrick Purdy was on two psychiatric drugs when he opened fire in a school yard killing five students and wounding 30 others.

  8. Kenneth Segund drugged his two children, took them to a pond and drowned them, then took an ax and killed his wife. He was on Prozac;

  9. 16-year old Brad Pruitt fatally stabbed his own grandparents in 1995, and had been on psychiatric drugs;

  10. 19-year-old James Wilson opened fire in an elementary school, killing two 8-year-old girls and wounding seven other students and two teachers. He was on Xanax, Valium, Thorazine and Haldol.

Do some elementary checking and you will find most of the others who committed either mass or single brutal murders while diagnosed as mentally ill or just a "nervous teen" were on prescribed drugs to "calm them down." What makes you think more drugs for unstable people are going to "calm them down" when it has been amply demonstrated that it does no such thing and even does the opposite?

Do some further checking and you'll find that most of the mass killings of late have been the direct result of children being given powerful drugs "to calm them down" by social workers who have no idea how to handle children and who immediately resort to these dangerous drugs at the first sign of problems -- problems caused by the things the social workers do to these children in the name of "protecting" them. Social engineering, using your children as guinea pigs, is not only destroying families, it is destroying many of the children - and their victims as well. It's time we stopped these social engineers from giving our children strong drugs at the first sign or trouble, rather than learn the simple parenting skills they claim the parents do not have.

The first thing you must do to help in this fight is to keep yourself informed as to things the power seekers don't want you to know.
