Tradition & Fashion: Material likely determinates a chipao of either tradition or fashion. Figered silk or baldachin often used for tradition; whereas linen, plain silk, cotton or gauze for fashion. But fashion may one day claim "tradition" is fashion.
Sexual Appeal: Sexual appeal mostly forcus on the sleeveless and cap-sleeve exposing skin of delicate arm; high fork-out exposing well-built long foot. Chest is sometimes appealling object.
Proper Chipao to Proper Events: In formal party, dinner or any other events can put heel-long and skirt-length chipao; in dancing party can put skirt-long chipao.
Accessory: Plain shawl, shawl with fringes, beaded handbag, embroidered handbag, beaded necklace and pearl necklace enchancing grandeur. Of course, all accessories put at one time is not neccessary.
Material: Tradition chipao often use figured silk or baldachin, which has pattern of plum blossom, dragon, phoenix, flowers and etc. Fashion chipao often use plain materials of clothes other than silk.
