International Experience
- Studied equine reproduction in relation to the Irish Equine Industry
- Participated in the University of Limerick Equestrian Club, while aiding in the instruction of beginner riders for cross-country and polo-cross
- Observed and aided John Warrick, equine physiotherapist, during his visit to an Irish equestrian facility
- Galloped thoroughbred racehorses for an Irish trainer
Teaching/Training Skills
- Working towards an advanced teaching certificate through two semesters of being a teacher's assistant for Colorado State University's advance English riding classes with Heather Schoning, Equine Science Instructor
- Started two 1 1/2 year old Quarter Horse fillies, preparing them for Western events as a college course. Personally focused on restraing free training methods. Trained to lead, drive, lunge, stand quietly for shoeing, move quietly under rider, and give and follow the bit with light contact
- Aided in starting horses over fences, and flat work training of young hunter/jumpers
- Assisted in the instruction of over 500 drum major students in conducting techniques and leadership skills at the Bands of America Camp in IL
