RAVEN TALES
"They say a reasonable amount o' fleas is good fer a dog—keeps him from broodin' over bein' a dog."
Well, the doggie which Christine wrote about in her Raven Tales is not exactly flea-bitten, but you do see a scratching maneuver now and then. Raven is Christine's foster doggie - she raised the black critter from a just-born puppy to the handsome lady-dog she is today.
Raven Tales is geared for children of all ages. From the wee one who can sit in your lap as you read the words and point-out the charming illustrations, to the older read-alone ones who are sure to find warmth and the humor in the tales. The tales starts in Southern Texas not too far from the Mexican border where Raven was born, and progresses north to the beautiful Rocky Mountain area in Colorado.
In Texas, Raven has adventure after adventure with animals which leave her a bit perplexed, but a wiser doggie. In Colorado there more encounters with animals, experiences with the first snow she has ever seen, and more of the warmth and humor which pervade all the tales. A great read - and, Raven knows she is a dog and would not be anything else.
