first off, i went to the instore. we got there about 45 minutes early and were 20th in line. total, only about 200 people came. i got pictures with all of static-x and got some autographs. i asked wayne about his hair and he looked away laughing. show- we got there just as doors were opening. we went to will call to get our tickets, but they werent there. we had to find the dope tour manager and the static-x manager to get everything straightened out. we got in about 7:30 right as chevelle was getting off the stage. deep ellum is small as hell and it looked as if they sold a couple hundred extra tickets. it was hot as hell the whole night. we worked our way up to the front of the pit about the time dope started. everyone was into them which surprised me. i dont remember all the songs they played but they did play debonaire,pig society,f the police, spine for you. they played for about 25 minutes. 7/10 next was static-x. it surprised me that they had less props than dope did. static-x was mostly lights. at least dope had little fences on stage and lots of barb wire. this was one of the best pits ive been in. i assumed people would just jump up and down but it was a regular pit. they sounded great and put on a great show. they played every song on the cd except sweat of the bud,december, and ostelegation. they also played down. the set up for the barricades in the front was wierd. the barricade only covered up exactly where the bands could play. there was another 7 or 8 feet on each side where speakers were so people were standing 2-3 feet away from them. i was one of em and got some great pictures. 9/10 after a 30 minute change, pm5k came out. it seemed as if all the girls were screaming spider as were many guys. im not really all that into them..but their live show i think is great. they opened with an eye is upon you and supernova goes pop. then automatic, car crash, blast off to nowhere, operate annihilate, get on get off, son of x-51, nobodys real, when worlds collide, neckbone, let the good times roll, system 11:11, and let the good times roll. they ended it with a cool little instrumental thing. 8/10 after the show we waited over and hour out back with about 100 other people. i got pics and auto. with spider,m 33, all of dope, and all of static-x again. i also got pete from chevelle. great show overall
