My Artwork in Progress

Welcome to my Art Gallery. The following paintings were done by Sheena N. Dauharry.

Crimson Red

18 by 24 inch Canvas Medium: Acrylic Paint This picture demonstrates a monochromatic piece. It isn't a solid color but a mixture between red and purple. From each side it's darker to lighter. This shows the contrast between the different shades one color can produce. Finally the center was watered down and I used the driiping method in order to get that effect. This piece took me 3 months. It was very hard because I didn't have an image in my mind. The colors were hard to keep even. The one thing I noticed was that it's hard for me to not control my paintings. I wouldn't let the water drip anywhere but in a certain direction.

Do you like color?

Other monochromatic pieces medium: Acrylic paint Artist: Sheena Dauharry I wanted to further my experience with the monochromatic piece and so I tried it with different colors to see if i got the same effect. The answer is no. The colors were brighter than the red and so it lost it's dramatic appeal.

Hall of colors

6 pieces of 18 by 24 inch canvas boards medium:Acrylic Paint This piece was intended to be in an analagous order. I think I did succeed in accomplishing that. The main problem I encountered was how I tried to make the change between the colors subtle. Since this wasn't on one piece of canvas it was difficult to line up the "isicle" looking shapes as well. My goal was to make it look like one piece put together.

Other stuff put together: A collage of a girl. On the bottom it reads Open for porn...Across her chest is XXX.
