Here it comes. Finally I get to preview a series that I think is the greatest hockey series of all time. With every year that passes Electronic Arts comes out and out does it self every year. This one will be no different. Using one of the best engines from playstation 2 this game surely will be a competitor.

The game itself will feature both the NHL and NHLPA licenses, which they have always had, plus every NHL team including the Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild. And of course it will also have around 20 international teams which is the most it's had ever.

In addition to all of this the create a team has upped the anti with a new jersey editor that they probably got from NHL 2k in a way and a biography maker that will let you include the teams name and their city. The create a player option is still there but it wasn't talked of all that much, I'm sure it will also be improved a little bit from last year.

The AL has also been improved on it with a little different computer play, not sure if it will be harder or easier, and all new motion capturing that will include all new checks, fighting techniques and dekes. Just look at the graphics on the playstation 2 though. They are amazing and will truly be a site when it comes out on the console. There has been no word on the sound but it will hopefully be the same announcing team. The sound was great on last years game but I'm sure they will add some extra phrases to the playstation 2 version.
