Chakras are energy and information centers in the body that are associated with endocrine glands and the nerve plexus. "The organs of psychic perception."
The Root Chakra
This chakra is at the base of the spine, and has a direct relationship to the ovaries and testes. The first chakra has to do with survival. All of the information to keep the body alive is located in this chakra. The proper foods, shelter, rest, etc...Problems in this chakra occur when one is not grounded. This tends to happen when you are caring for someone else and you neglect your own needs.
The Spleen Chakra
This chakra is located three fingers below the navel, and has a direct relation to the pancreas. This is the chakra where you feel the emotions of others, where you pick up their vibrations. The degree of your own personal reality is reflected here. This chakra governs the erotic world. It is sexuality, sensuality, and desire. Problems here occur when you are open to the feelings of others. When this happens you tend to duplicate the feelings of others.
The Solar Plexus Chakra
This chakra is located in the solar plexus, and has a link to the adrenal gland. This chakra governs energy distribution. It gives vital energy to the body. In other words it is your power and control panel. When you allow others to hook into your energy this is when problems likely occur. Being hyperactive signals that this chakra is open, causing your energies to deplete rapidly.
The Heart Chakra
This is located at the sternum and is linked to the thymus gland. This chakra is your ability to love, to enter into a state of oneness, with yourself and someone else. It is also the center of your nervous system. It is your goodness, paths, and goals everything is found through your heart chakra. It is the meeting place between your "beings" and your "body."
The Throat Chakra
This is located at the cleft of the throat and is connected to the thyroid gland. This chakra is communication: it gives us the ability to express what we feel, also to verbalize it to others. It is your inner voice. It also gives you communication from your body to your soul. Problems in here can occur when your communication with others isn't clear. It is very important to express your thoughts clearly at all times.
The Brow Chakra
This chakra between the eyebrows and it is connected to the pituitary gland. This is your "third eye" the center of individual consciousness defined as soul quality. Problems can occur with this chakra when you get jammed with people trying to plug in to you and wanting your validation for everything...
The Crown Chakra
This one is located at the top of the head. It is
the soft spot on a baby's head. This concerns
knowingness, the ability to sit still and know. It
also controls all of the other chakras. The cosmic
consciousness or spiritual eternal peace, and
eternal knowledge. It connects humans with the
infinite. Problems can occur when people try to own
you, manipulate and control you. Also you need to
trust in your knowledge and get rid of all energies
but your own.
