Firebird Raceway is proud to announce the release of its all-new Hot Wheels Thunder Town 40 for the 2003 race season. The 1940 Ford Coupe comes in either candy apple red or black with a period perfect set of hot rod flames. The Mattel Hot Wheels 40 Ford has been created in celebration of Firebird's 36th Season of NHRA Drag Racing. Located in the "Thunderin, Foothills" northwest of Idaho's capital city of Boise, the track has developed the nickname: Thunder Town USA, which ties perfectly to the name of its new Hot Wheels limited collectible. The fat fendered coupe has been limited to a production run of 6,000 pieces of each color in the popular 1/64th scale sporting an impressive custom designed blue blister pack and detailed description of the raceway on the backside of the card. The rolling stock on the '40 is a set of Wide White Wall Real Rider tires and chrome-hued wheels. The talents of Idaho artist Paul Huber helped create the original concept in association with the Mattel Toys design department. |
