1976 Rex Lewis
1958 - 2007

Sunrise November 10, 1958 - Sunset January 3, 2007

Rex grew up in the San Fernando Valley and went to Monroe High School. His youth was spent working on cars and learning the contracting and plumbing trade from his father. Rex started his own plumbing business when he was 21 and a few years later started California Contractors.

He met and married the love of his life, Julie, in 1984. They have two daughters, Amanda, 21 and Candace, 18. Rex was a fabulous dad and lovingly spoiled all his girls. He was very involved in their daily activities, coaching sports and encouraging them in all of their endeavors. Rex was excited about the new chapters in both his girls lives, Amanda's new jewelry business and Candace starting her college career.

Rex started Tico Contractors in 1992, a successful commercial construction business. He tirelessly supported the local community, schools and many charities. Rex was active since the inception of the Porter Ranch YMCA, and most recently Rex was involved as a successful fundraising chairman for the "Y".

Rex loved every aspect of cycling and was avid fitness enthusiast. It was not unusual for Rex to ride in 100 mile charity events, including rides from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Rex's instant smile and warm, generous personality will be missed by all who knew him.

Rex was pre-deceased by his parents, Selma and James Lewis. He is survived by his wife Julie, daughters Amanda and Candace and sisters Rebecca Cindy and their spouses, Rex's mother-in-law Marie and many nieces, nephews, brother-in laws and sister-in-laws.
